Freeman Health System participates in National Healthcare Decisions Day by providing free information and assistance in completing items such as durable power of attorney and living will documents.

Officials say advance medical directives enable a patient’s doctors and loved ones to know and honor an individual’s wishes regarding medical treatment. These documents take effect when a patient is unable to make their own healthcare decisions.

Freeman invites residents to the Freeman Hospital West Main Lobby (1102 W. 32nd Street) from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16th. Notaries for official form completion, a sign language interpreter and Spanish interpreter will also be available.

Freeman officials say visitors and staff will have access to computer stations linked to prepareforyourcare.org and a wellness booth with stress dots and a doodle station.
