Freeman daily briefing releases new numbers, COVID-19 information

JOPLIN, Mo. – At the Freeman daily briefing today CEO Paula Baker says so far, there are no new cases of Coronavirus to report that they’ve taken in.

Yesterday Baker says they screened 186 callers and five of those met the criteria for additional testing, which was being done today. She says she believes one of the reasons the numbers here are so low, is because it’s easier to follow the rules from the CDC.

Freeman Health System CEO Paula Baker says “The part of the country we live in, is advantageous for that, it’s a little more difficult to follow some of those social distancing rules if you live in a high-rise apartment building in New York City, if you’re walking down a crowded street, so we have a lot of advantages in our favor.”

Baker says their next briefing is planned for Monday afternoon.
