It’s go-time for Kansas City Royals fans and for many, winning the World Series is all in the details.

“You get your superstitions,” said Chris Kelly, “You get your pre-game routine.”

For Kelly, this involves a lucky hat.

“It has to be on the couch, it has to be facing south, and five minutes before first pitch, not a minute after, the hat goes on.”

Others believe winning is all about location, location, location.

“We kind of have our special places to sit, and if we go out we kind of sit in that order,” said Megan Koons.

“It’s the second one from the door, and we sit in the same seat,” said Heather Dixon. She she’ll only drink one type of beer until the end of the series.

“Boulevard from Kansas City.”

And for one very small fan, watching another sport may bring the luck.

“Soccer!”

But for some, there’s hope found in doing nothing out of the ordinary.

“I really just don’t want to jinx them, so I’m doing changing anything I’ve done,” said Stephanie Sutherland.

Whatever the superstition, the goal is the same.
