Four sign at Carl Junction High School
Noah Southern, Carson Johnson, Maggie Brown and Jade Smith sign Tuesday to continue their athletics careers in college.
CARL JUNCTION, M0. – Four Carl Junction athletes sign to continue their careers at the college level.
Second team all-district player, Carson Johnson, signs to Ottawa University for baseball.
“It means a lot,” Johnson says. “I’ve worked really hard for what I want and I’ve come to that point. It’s a big relief.”
Noah Southern will also be continuing his baseball career at the collegiate level. Southern is joining the NEO Norsemen.
“I’ve been waiting a long time to do this,” Southern says. “I’m putting my dreams into a reality now.”
Two Carl Junction cheerleaders sign today. Maggie Brown signs to cheer at Pittsburg State.
“My parents went to college there and my brother goes to college there,” Brown says. “Going to games and watching them cheer, it’s so exciting to watch. I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
Senior cheerleader, Jade Smith, will be cheering at Southwest Baptist.
“You can just tell the girls have this amazing bond with each other,” Smith says of her impression of the team. “That family and friend environment is what I’m really excited to be able to fit into.”
