FORT SCOTT, Kan. – Fort Scott Community College head football coach Kale Pick has announced he’s leaving the program.

Pick made the announcement via social media on Thursday morning.

Pick spent three seasons as the head coach at Fort Scott CC. The Greyhounds were 7-23 in those three years.

Last season (2019) the team was off to a good start, but was forced to forfeit their wins in their first 8 games due to an ineligible player being in the lineup.

Below is a statement from Fort Scott CC Athletic Director Tom Havron.

“Fort Scott Community College has received a letter of resignation from Head Football Coach Kale Pick as he will be seeking other opportunities within the coaching field.  FSCC thanks Coach Pick for his leadership that he brought to the institution during his 4 years on the coaching staff and wish him nothing but the best of luck as he moves forward with his career.  The institution will begin a nationwide search for a replacement in the coming days.”
