The former Missouri state trooper who had his peace offer license revoked after a suspect died in his custofy is suing to get it back. Anthony Piercy was the trooper driving a boat, when an Iowa man he had handcuffed fell overboard and drowned. Piercy was sentenced in September for misdemeanor negligent operation od a vehicle after the 2014 drowning of 20-year-old Brandon Ellingson of Clive, Iowa at the Lake of the Ozarks. Piercy filed a lawsuit this week against the Missouri Department of Public Safety and the agency’s director.
