Former MO Gov. Greitens announces U.S. Senate bid
Greitens resigned as governor in 2018
MISSOURI — Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens announced Monday that he is running for U.S. Senate in Missouri.
Greitens seeks the seat being vacated by U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, 71, who announced earlier this month that he will not run for reelection in 2022.
Greitens resigned as Missouri governor in 2018 under a cloud of suspicion following allegations of unwanted sexual aggression toward a woman from a 2015 incident, and an investigation into alleged campaign violations.
As a Navy SEAL, I fought for this country to ensure our freedoms are protected. Now, the Left wants to take those freedoms away from you.
That’s why I’m running for the US Senate in Missouri. We must fight to take America back from the lunacy of the left. pic.twitter.com/cbfw4Q8aJ6
