Former local high school standouts earn All-MIAA honors

9 former local high school players are All-MIAA

Nine former local high school standouts earned All-MIAA honors on Tuesday afternoon.

Central Missouri TE/P Zach Davidson (Webb City HS) – Davidson was named 1st team All-MIAA tight and, and also 1st team All-MIAA punter. Davidson caught 34 passes for 796 yards this season, including a league-leading 14 toucdowns. He was 5th in the league in punting average, with 40.8 yards per punt.

Central Missouri LB Kolesen Crane (Webb City HS) – Crane was named 1st team All-MIAA linebacker Tuesday. Crane had 4 interceptions this season, which is tied for 3rd-most in the MIAA. He finished the season with 41 tackles, 8.5 tackles-for-loss, 3.5 sacks and 3 fumble recoveries.

Emporia State LB Jace McDown (Columbus HS) – McDown was named 1st team All-MIAA linebacker. McDown finished tied for 2nd in the league in tackles, racking up 95 on the season. He also had 1.5 sacks and 1 interception.

Pittsburg State DB KiAnte Hardin (Webb City HS) – Hardin was named 1st team All-MIAA defensive back Tuesday. Hardin is tied for 3rd in the MIAA with 4 interceptions this season, including one interception returne for a touchdown. Hardin added 27 tackles and 3 tackles-for-loss this season.

Pittsburg State DL Zeke Wall (Carl Junction HS) – Wall was named 3rd team All-MIAA defensive lineman. Wall had 35 total tackles this season, including 4.5 tackles-for-loss and 1.5 sacks. Wall also had one fumble recovery for the Gorillas.

Pittsburg State LB Chase Johnston (Carl Junction HS) – Johnson was named 3rd team All-MIAA linebacker. Johnston finished the season with 56 tackles for the Gorillas, including 6.5 tackles-for-loss and 3 sacks.

Pittsburg State P Todd Morrow (Lamar HS) – Morrow was named 3rd team All-MIAA punter. Morrow averaged 41.8 yards per punt this season, which is second best in the MIAA. He punted 28 times this season, with 12 of those stopping inside the 20-yard line.

Missouri Southern LB Colton Winder (Carthage HS) – Winder was named Honorable Mention All-MIAA Tuesday. Winder had a very impressive freshman season at Missouri Southern. The Carthage High School product finished #2 in the MIAA in tackles, racking up 95 on the year for the Lions. Winder also hadded 3 tackles-for-loss, 2 interceptions and 1 fumble recovery.

Pittsburg State LB Kaden Roy (Webb City HS) – Roy was named Honorable Mention All-MIAA Tuesday. The former Webb City Cardinal led the Gorillas with 86 tackles this season, which was 5th-most in the MIAA. He added 7 tackles-for-loss, 1 sack and 1 interception on the year for Pitt State.
