Former Arma bus monitor arrested in child rape case

Authorities arrest Quentin Bryant, 22, of Arma, Kan. today, January 18th, 2019, on a Crawford County warrant for rape of a child under the age of 14.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Arma Police Department investigated the incident with assistance from the Pittsburg Police Department.

Investigators say there was probable cause to believe that Bryant, a contracted employee of Arma USD 246 assigned as a bus monitor, committed the alleged crime against a Northeast Elementary School student.

The incident reportedly happened on the school bus as the student was being taken home from school on November 30th, 2018.

The Crawford County Prosecutor says Bryant has been charged with rape and is being held on $100,000 bond.

According to school officials, Bryant no longer works for the Arma School District.
