Food trucks and fur babies event benefits local businesses and animals

PITTSBURG, Ks. –Rigg’s chiropractic teamed up with the South East Kansas humane society as well as local food trucks for food trucks and fur babies event.

The event took place at Rigg’s chiropractic and offered free spinal screenings as well as opportunities for good food and for animals to find a new home.

“We wanted a way to benefit, especially during Covid, some of the other kind of local businesses that were needing help, and we have a soft spot in our hearts for animals and were like what’s better than dogs and good food so how cute would that be,” said Shelbi Heikes with Rigg’s Chiropractic.

The Humane Society says the event was a great way to gain awareness and a great day for new adoptions.

“That’s gonna bring a lot of people in today. just lets everybody know who we are, what we’re doing. The animals that need to have their forever homes, and to show how cute the dogs are today.”

Rigg’s Chiropractic says all proceeds from their new patient appointments will go towards the SEK humane society.
