Five Neosho businesses fail alcohol compliance check

On Saturday, February 20 the Neosho Police Department conducted alcohol compliance checks on local businesses to see if retailers inside the city limits were selling alcohol to minors.

A 19-year-old minor went into a total of 19 businesses that sell alcohol products and attempted to purchase alcohol. Of those stores visited, five failed and were cited.

The businesses that failed the compliance checks included: Main Stop, El Charro Mexican restaurant, Casey’s General Store (Boulevard location), Kum N Go (Kodiak Road location), and Caballo De Oro Mexican restaurant.

The businesses that passed the compliance checks included: Kwik Mart, Sam’s Cellar, Gas Trip, Workman’s Mini Mart, Wildcat Corner, Walgreens, Walmart, Price Cutter, Dollar General, The Beverage Shop, White Oak Station, Love’s Country Mart, Casey’s General Store (Coler Street location), and Kum N’ Go (Highway 59 location).
