First degree murder charges filled in Coffeyville man’s death
COFFEYVILLE, Kan. — The Kansas Attorney General has filed first-degree murder charges in a Coffeyville man’s death.
Authorities say 61-year-old David Jackson of Coffeyville shot and killed Melvin Simpson Jr. on May 14 inside Jackson’s apartment.
He remains in Montgomery County Jail on $1 million bond.
