Fire damages Joplin family’s home

A Joplin family’s home is heavily damaged in an overnight fire.

A little after 8 p.m., Joplin and Redings Mill Fire Departments responded to 3302 S. Highland where flames charred the home.

The fire was contained within 14 minutes, but still took its toll.

All five members of the family safely escaped.

No injuries were reported.

The official cause of the fire is still under investigation.
