Faye N. Molitor

Faye N. Molitor, 93, of Parsons and former longtime Chetopa resident, passed away at 2:40 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2022, at Elm Haven East Nursing Home.
Faye Norleen Vance was born on December 11, 1928, to Lewis Riley and Edith Marie (Sanderson) Vance in rural Bartlett, Kansas. As a young girl, she grew up and attended Foland School in rural Bartlett.
On December 8, 1951, Faye and Robert Eugene “Bob” Molitor were united in marriage in Huntsville, Arkansas. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Chetopa, where she lived until recently.
For a time, Faye worked at the Lee Garment Factory in Chetopa. Most of her life, though, was devoted to making a home for her family. She loved to cook and bake delicious pies and cakes. Her greatest joy came from babysitting and caring for her grandchildren. A devoted Christian, she was a member of the First Christian Church in Chetopa.
Survivors include:
One son – Leonard Molitor and his wife, Annette, of Chetopa, Kansas
Two grandchildren – Shayla Gray and her husband, Christopher, of Waco, Texas
Lewis Molitor of Bartlett, Kansas
Two great-grandsons – Dayson and Karson
One brother – T. J. Vance and his wife, Gloria, of Haysville, Kansas
One sister – Jacqueline Williams of Columbus, Kansas
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on April 14, 1992; one brother, James Vance; and one sister, Willa Deane Aldrich.
Friends may call at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home of Chetopa to sign the register from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2022.
