Erie, KS – The Kansas Highway Patrol reported last night, August 5, around 8PM a 2008 Chevy Truck failed to yield to Erie Police Department southbound on Pryor Road (mile south of Erie). According to the report, the truck left the roadway to the right and broke through a guardrail. The vehicle became airborne and entered the Neosho River where it came to rest on its top.

The driver, Timothy Charboneau, did pass away. Next of kin was notified by Erie Chief of Police Dean Cain. Charboneau, 23, was wearing his safety restraint.

His body was taken to Frontier Forensics in Topeka.
