Enrichment program keeps skills sharp over summer

A summer enrichment program gets kids ready for kindergarten with Lego learning fun at Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School.

Kids College is for five and six-year-old children.

This particular session taught kids math skills with Legos.

Led by their instructor, children played counting games and picked up building skills.

Educators say this program is all about disguising learning with fun and keeping kids skill sharp over the summer.

“Kids learn through play at this age, and it’s so important, and more meaningful to them, when they’re playing and they don’t even realize that they’re learning a skill,” explained Kimberly Gray, a Kids College instructor.

Tuition for Kids College is $15 per child, per session.
