Eilzabeth Ann (Ruley) Bolander

Elizabeth Ann (Ruley) Bolander passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in Overland Park. She was born December 3, 1925, in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Theodore N. and Kathryn Ruley.
Ann graduated from William Chrisman High School in Independence, Missouri with the class of 1943. Upon graduation, she attended Providence Hospital School of Nursing earning her Registered Nursing certification in the fall of 1946.
On April 3, 1952, Ann married Perry E. Bolander, a native of Parsons, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Together they raised four children, Paula, Bruce, Kathryn, and Patrick primarily in Prairie Village, Kansas with prior residences in Joplin and Kansas City, Missouri. Perry Bolander died on November 17, 2019.
She is survived by three of her children, Bruce Bolander (Deborah), Kathryn Hunt (James), and Patrick Bolander; six grandchildren, Angela, Sarah, Elizabeth, Henry, Thomas, and Perry and three great-grandchildren, Avery, Zachary, and Isabel.
Preceding Ann in death are her parents, husband Perry, daughter Paula, and brother Paul.
Ann and Perry were married 67 years and will be buried together during a graveside service at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 25, at Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons. The Carson-Wall Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
