Edward D Beach, age 69, passed away at 2:50 am, Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Cherryvale Nursing and Rehab Center, Cherryvale, KS following an illness.
Mr. Beach was born January 12, 1952 in Independence KS. His parents were Norwood and Mildred (Riedle) Beach. He had lived in Parsons the past 4 years moving from Oklahoma where he had lived for 20 years.
In his younger years, he played sports. Softball was his favorite and he was very good at it. His dad coached a team Ed played on. He loved watching car shows on television, working on cars, cooking (especially sweets) and going to casinos.
He was a truck driver. He had also worked as a welder, a security guard and an auto mechanic. In 1992, he attended SEK Vo-tech in Columbus, KS. He graduated with a GED and received an auto mechanic diploma. In 1999, he opened his own auto mechanic shop in Tulsa, OK.
Edward was married to Debra Huchinson on December 9, 1972 in Parsons, KS.
Additional survivors include one son, Brant Beach; one brother, Robert Beach; two sisters, Betty Forshey (John), and Janet English, all of Parsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Geraldine Beach, Stacy Joan Beach; three brothers, Fredrick, Steven, Gerald Ray, Dana Leroy Beach; and his beloved pet zippy
At the request of Edward, there will be no service. He was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Oswego, KS for cremation. Interment will be in the Oswego Cemetery at a later date.
He will be missed and never forgotten.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home Oswego, Ks.
