Easter Service hosted by multiple churches

Local churches gathered to worship under one roof at Joplin Memorial Hall on Easter Sunday.

Four area churches including Impact Life, The Light, One Church of Joplin, and Journey Church combined for a large Easter service.

Hundreds of believers came together to join in prayer and praise Jesus. Seeing so many faces from the community was a welcome site for organizers who appreciate introducing newcomers to their faith.

“Our goal was to be able to create a space for people that weren’t used to the traditional church environment, to be able to come and feel welcome. Ultimately, we didn’t want it to be about any church’s name, any pastor’s name. It’s not about us, but it’s about Jesus and bringing people to knowing Jesus,” said David Pearson, the executive pastor with Impact Life Church.

This is the community Easter service’s third year.
