Easter Egg Hunt fun in Pittsburg
PITTSBURG, Ks. — Plenty of Pittsburg kiddos packed the city’s Lincoln Park Saturday for Pittsburg’s 10th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Officials estimate between 500 and 700 people made it out to the Easter egg hunting festivities. And that’s good thing, since there were more than 10,000 plastic eggs hidden, as well as other prizes like gift cards.
It took organizers more than 3 weeks to fill those eggs, and another hour and a half to hide them all, but they say the effort was well worth it.
“It’s community engagement and it’s a really awesome event that the community can come out to,” said Sara Vacca with Pittsburg Parks and Recreation.
The Easter bunny also made an appearance and took pictures with the kids.
