Early winter weather!

About 3 out of every 10 years we get some type of winter weather in the month of October.  However, it is very rare to see this strong of a storm system this early in the season.  Even though we didn’t and won’t get much winter weather, this is still a big storm system.  Areas along and north of I-44 have all received some freezing rain, sleet and snow.  We will continue to get freezing drizzle tonight, mainly north of I-44.  Snow amounts have mainly been 1″ or less in our northern counties.  We should warm enough on Tuesday that most of the precip will switch over to rain.  I am very interested to see what this system will do next time around in the Heady Pattern when it returns in December.
