Early Saturday January 18th – Drying Out Today

While we watch for our next storm system on the horizon

Good early Saturday morning, everyone. Like last weekend, we had to start this weekend out on an unsettled note. A good number of us had to put up with freezing rain and sleet to start Friday morning out below. That resulted in areas picking up between a tenth of an inch to .30″ of ice before temperatures got back above freezing late yesterday morning. Others managed to say above freezing and mainly dealt with rain for most of the day. Regardless of what we saw fall from the sky, temperatures kept warming up through the day and into last night. In fact, we had our high temperature pushing 50 degrees before we got into this early Saturday morning.

That’s due to a good south wind ahead of a cold front pushing in from the west. That cold front will sweep through and push the last of the cloud cover and rain chances out of here. It will be a cool day for today, but we’ll have a quiet day with mostly sunny skies. We’ll get next week started on a quiet and cold note before our next storm system wants to head our way. Your latest look at the forecast is right below…

Don’t forget that Doug has your long range forecast based off his Heady Pattern through February down below.

Have a good Saturday!
