Drug bust includes about 400 capsules of Fentanyl
BARRY COUNTY, Mo. – Detectives seize hundreds of capsules of Fentanyl in a southwest Missouri drug bust.
On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, authorities got a search warrant for a home in Butterfield, Missouri (Barry County). The Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team and Barry County deputies arrived at 10102 West 5th Street and seized several drugs.
Law enforcement found the following at the home.
- About 400 capsules of suspected Fentanyl
- 15 grams of suspected meth
- 570 grams of marijuana
ODET detectives arrested a 37-year-old and 48-year-old, both Barry County residents. Authorities are requesting charges of possession of a controlled substance as well as delivery of a controlled substance.
Official charges are pending with the Barry County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to Commander Chad Allison with the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team, “There has been an increase in overdose cases in the area. We are hoping this case will slow down the trend. If the public has any drug tips or information they can contact ODET..”
