Drug and gun charges filed after accidental shooting investigation
JASPER COUNTY, Mo. – Authorities arrest a man while investigating an alleged accidental shooting north of Carthage, Missouri.
On Sunday, July 25, 2021, around 4:15 p.m., Jasper County deputies responded to an apparent accidental shooting. When deputies arrived at 459 West Church Street, they spoke with a 36-year-old woman with a non-life-threatening injury to her forehead.
Hospital medical staff treated and later released the woman.
During the investigation, authorities got a search warrant for the home. They seized suspected methamphetamine and several weapons found inside.
Deputies arrested Zachary C. Rosson, 33, of Carthage. The Jasper County Prosecutor charged him with Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Possess Weapon and a Felony Controlled Substance) and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
