Drought tracker still in good shape

Past freezing rain & snow helping out
Droughttracker

The updated Drought Tracker from last Thursday still shows us in good shape. The freezing drizzle, freezing rain and snow we’ve seen over the past 2 weeks has kept any signs of abnormally dry or drought conditions out of our region. Over the broader 4-State area, we do see lingering signs of a moderate to extreme drought from northern Kansas back into the western parts of the state. In Oklahoma, we do note a pocket of moderate to extreme drought clipping the western parts of the state before you improve around the Oklahoma City metro area. With some storm systems wanting to work across the region this week, we’ll see if those can address these drought concerns by the time this gets updated by Thursday morning.
