Drought Monitor Updated on September 6th

The Drought Monitor was updated back on Thursday and it was a welcome update for the Four State Area. The data for the update was cut off on Tuesday, so the update doesn’t reflect the rain we picked up from Wednesday through today. That being said, we got rid of the majority of the severe drought parts of the area are under. There’s a small portion of Washington county in Oklahoma still under a severe drought, but the majority of the area is under a drought to moderate drought. It remains to be seen how much of an impact the rain we saw for the second part of this week (especially with the remnants of Gordon), but its good news as we look forward to a week to dry out.
