Donald W. “Don” Robison, 67, of Parsons, passed away at 7:35 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Labette Health.

Donald Wayne Robison was born on December 4, 1953, to Dr. Roland Eugene and Lois Arlene (Delk) Robison in Parsons, Kansas. He grew up and attended school in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School in 1972.

For 39 years, Don worked at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center until his retirement in 2014. He then worked for ResCare in a group home for a time.

He was an active member of Kingdom Gates church in Parsons. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He also enjoyed traveling to national parks to hike and camp. Another favorite pastime was playing cards, especially spades.

On June 12, 1976, Don and Susan J. Kuffler were united in marriage in Parsons, Kansas. She survives of the home.

Lisa Robison of Springdale, Arkansas

Sarah Robison of Parsons, Kansas

Seven grandchildren – Emerie and Zack Hall; Kylie Harper ; Hala Robison; Eathan Tiecke; Tate Robison; Eli Robison; Asher Robison

Two great-grandchildren – Peyton and Teigan

Two brothers – Richard Robison (Martha) of Cranston, Rhode Island

Regina Schubert of Parsons, Kansas

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Robison.

The funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. The funeral service can be viewed live on the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home Facebook page.
