DIY prosthetic make-up with Megan Westhoff for Halloween
PITTSBURG, Ks — Jesse stopped by PSU to talk with Megan Westhoff about how to make some very convincing wounds for this Halloween season.
Unflavored gelatin is used as the base of the make-up because it’s easily accessible and easy to work with. Use warm water for a smoother consistency and use cold water for a chunkier and grittier consistency.
You then apply the gelatin to your hand and shape it to look like the wound you want. If you sweat a lot, then you should use adhesive to keep it on the applied area.
After molding the gelatin, you apply make-up for the gore and detail.
