David Ami Tucker

David Ami Tucker, 80, of Monett, MO, passed from this life to his eternal home on Thursday morning, September 22, 2022 while at his home.
David was born on August 5, 1942 in Springfield, MO, son of the late John and Maxine (Reynaud) Tucker.
David graduated from Monett High School with the class of 1960 and then furthered his education Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield. In his younger years he worked at his family’s business, Tucker’s Market in Monett. He later worked for the Wooten Company where he did property maintenance, retiring in 2007. David was a member of New Liberty Methodist Church. Some of his enjoyments throughout his life were playing basketball in high school and college, snow skiing when he was younger, bird watching, gardening, playing golf and watching the St. Louis Cardinal’s. He also loved his dog and cat.
On August 5, 2007 in Eureka Springs, AR, David and Frances Matthews were united in marriage. They have been blessed with over fifteen years of wonderful memories made together.
Survivors include his wife, Frances, of the home; his three daughters, Holly Elliott and husband Tobin, of Springfield, MO, Melody Thielmann and husband Brian, of Enterprise, AL and Tricia Coon and husband Justin, of Ozark, MO; seven grandchildren, Tanner and Kinsey Elliott, Koen and Griffin Thielmann and Tristin, Talon and Tatum Coon; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
David was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Sue Tucker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2022 at Buchanan Funeral Home with Pastor Nancy DeJager officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. David will be laid to rest in the Waldensian Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the New Liberty Methodist Church in care of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
