Dana Louise Witcraft

January 6, 1959 - February 6, 2022

Dana Louise Witcraft, 63, of Tulsa, OK passed away on February 6th, 2022, after a brief illness.

Dana, born on January 6th 1959, to two doting parents in Tulsa, had a fiery heart of love from the very beginning. Dana was the fastest pitch on her softball team, a department store model in her younger years, and a devoted nurse to her cardiology patients.

This is where she met Dr. Chauncey Witcraft, her spouse of 20 years, with whom she raised the lights of her life, her two children, Jeanie and Nicole (Nikki). They lived in Miami, OK where she delighted in gardening, rescuing animals, and creating a welcoming home for all people, especially her kids and their friends.

Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Dana’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She as an excellent mom & Grams, supportive, kind, hilarious, and deeply present for her loved ones. She was never happier than to walk her “babies” Dude & Checkers, while watching her grandchildren, Evelyn & Elena play. We will all miss her dearly.

Dana was predeceased by her father, William Braithwait.

She is survived by her children, Jeanie Shiau and husband Gene of Roswell, GA and Nikki Witcraft and fiance’ Ben of Austin, TX, her mother, Betty Jo Braithwait of Lexington, SC, sister, Debra Knight and family of Lexington, and her delightful granddaughters, Evelyn and Elena Shiau, and expecting another due soon.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Dana’s name to the Tulsa Animal Rescue Foundation
