COFFEYVILLE, Kan. (July 29, 2014) – CVR Refining confirms that at approximately 12:30 a.m. on July 29, 2014, a fire was reported at the Coffeyville refinery’s isomerization unit. The fire was extinguished at approximately 1:18 a.m. A shutdown of the refinery was conducted. Four employees were injured and have been transported to the hospital. Identities of the four employees and further information have not been released. All other employees are accounted for at this time. Initial reports indicate there was no impact to the surrounding community.

CVR Refining personnel express their deepest concern for and are currently providing assistance to the injured employees and their families.
Company officials are assessing the situation and will provide updates as information becomes available.
