Crystal Bridges helps bring art to southwest Missouri students

The world famous Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art helps bring art to a southwest Missouri classroom.

The museum, based out of Bentonville, Arkansas collaborated with Missouri Southern State University to bring some special art education to Cecil Floyd Elementary in Joplin.

The elementary students are combining history with art. They are learning about Colonial America and creating works of art including a portrait of George Washington and a “We the People” mural that will be hung in the school hallway.
