The Kansas Mud Boggers came to the fairgrounds to help raise money for the new grand stands. Drivers of modified rigs of all sizes, including 4-wheelers and stock trucks, participated in the run, racing through the thick mud to finish in the shortest time. According to one organizer, the event attracted an audience of all ages.

“It’s loud, it’s dirty, it’s noisy, kids are having a great time and so far it’s been a huge success,” said Desiree Humble of the Crawford County Fairgrounds Association.
“It’s high horse power and mud,” said Jason Richardson of Kansas Mud Boggers. “It’s a lot of little kids growing up playing with their Tonka trucks we just got older and the trucks got more expensive.”

Organizers say they plan to turn the mud run into an annual event.
