Crash with oversized load claims the life of a Yates Center woman
WOODSON COUNTY, Kan. – Kansas Highway Patrol says a Yates Center woman is dead after colliding with the oversized load of a semi-truck.
The crash occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on July 18th.
Police say a Ford Ranger was traveling southbound on U75 when it collided with the trailer of a northbound semi-truck. The ranger spun into the opposite lane where it was then struck by a Dodge Ram.
Soon after, the Ranger overturned into a ditch where it came to a rest. Police say the driver, Sandra Campbell, died as a result of fatal injuries sustained during the crash.
EMS transported the Ram driver to Stormont Vail with serious injuries. Deputies say the semi driver suffered no injuries.
