Cooler Weekend and Rain Chances Increase
A cold front will be making its way across the four states tonight into tomorrow bringing cooler and drier air with it in time for the weekend. Rain chances begin to increase early next week with warming temperatures.
The drought has expanded into more of western Missouri with exceptional drought conditions. In fact, Oklahoma has seen the driest June-October period ever in state history.
The extended forecast is for increased moisture chances as an upper level low cuts off in the SW US and drier conditions for the Pacific NW and the Northern Plains.
Warmer than normal weather for the West Coast and cooler than normal for the East Coast with us in the middle should make temperatures near normal or slightly above.
Next Wednesday-Saturday: Partly sunny and nice with highs in the lower 70s.
October 23rd-29th: Mainly a mild week but chilly temperatures by the weekend. Rain chances on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
October 30th-November 5th: Mainly a mild week with rain chances Wednesday through Saturday. Also cooling down for the weekend.
