Cool classic car show for a good cause
JOPLIN, Mo. – The Joplin Metro Credit Union decided to celebrate it’s 70th business anniversary by giving back to the community on Saturday.
The group hosted a car show featuring dozens of classic models. Trophies were awarded for best in show, employee’s choice, and people’s choice.
All of the money raised by the event is going to Charlie 22 Outdoors of Webb City, a nonprofit that supports veterans battling PTSD.
Organizers say they’re really happy with the turnout.
“It feels good. I’m glad everyone came out to support. Hopefully we can do it again,” said Justin Howard with the Joplin Credit Union.
Charlie 22 Outdooors’s faith-based mission is to end veteran suicide.
