JOPLIN, Mo. - After a three year hiatus due to renovations, Missouri Southern State University will host the first event in its Taylor Performing Arts center next week. 

The Taylor Performance Art Center in Missouri Southern State University was constructed in 1975 and for 50 years, it served as the largest event space in the region, but as with time, things start to wear out.

Segun hails from Ibadan Nigeria. He moved to the United States in 2018 in pursuit of better life opportunities. He lived in Washington State where he attended Columbia Basin College and graduated with an associate degree in Communications. He also attended Washington State University in Pullman where he received an award from the National Society of Leadership and Success for being an outstanding student. Segun has a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast News and Media Production. Segun joined the KOAM team in 2022 as a Multi-Media Journalist. In his free time, he enjoys reading books, photography, movies, and discussing politics.
