College Heights kicks-off Missions Week with community service
JOPLIN, Mo. – Students from Joplin’s College Heights Christian School are donating their hard work for Missions Week.
It’s an annual event. Some students travel as far as Orlando and Arlington, Texas, but there is work to be done here at home too.
Around 40 students are providing services to God’s Resort, Neighborhood Life House, Watered Gardens, Rapha House and the Lafayette House.
“I’ve definitely learned from this experience that everyone is hurting and needs help in some way,” said College Heights student Ashley Buchanan. “You can help them by praying with them and loving on them. It doesn’t even have to be praying, but just comforting them and letting them know that you are there to serve them and they are loved.”
It’s not just high schoolers. Last week College Heights Middle School Students worked at Life Choices, Maranatha Bible Camp and their school & church.
