Coffeyville man pleads no contest in case of teen’s death
COFFEYVILLE, Kan. — A Coffeyville, Kansas man pleads no contest in the fatal accidental shooting of a Chanute teenager.
Authorities say 19-year-old Treyvin Hayes-Smith accidentally shot and killed 15-year-old Nasha Gregory at a Coffeyville home in March.
Hayes-Smith pleaded no contest to charges of involuntary manslaughter and aggravated endangerment of a child.
He is set to be sentenced on July 18.
