City of Miami, Oklahoma declares a state of emergency

MIAMI, Okla. – The city of Miami, Oklahoma declared a state of emergency because of the COVID-19 pandemic at a Saturday city council meeting.

The meeting was broadcast over the internet in an effort to practice social distancing.

As part of the declaration, restaurants and other public places in Miami are hereby closed for dine-in customers.

All events and gatherings of more than 10 people in a city-owned or operated facility are also banned until further notice.
