City of Miami announces hire of Interim City Manager

Miami, OK – Jacque Wedding-Scott will join the City of Miami administration Wednesday, Sept. 10, as interim city manager, filling the office vacated last month by former city manager Jeff Bishop.

Wedding-Scott, from Lakewood, CO, comes to Miami with more than three decades of municipal government experience in the areas of strategic development, human resources, public finance, budgeting, economic development and public/private partnerships. She currently does consulting work assisting municipalities in the development of innovative business development strategies, strategic and organizational planning, public finance/revenue administration, economic development, and business retention and recruitment.

Prior to her work as a consultant, Wedding-Scott served as city manager for the City of Centennial, CO, where she served for approximately four years before resigning in 2011 to step into “semi-retirement.” While at the City of Centennial, she led the city through its first “visioning process” which resulted in the development of “Our Voice Our Vision Centennial 2030” – a citizen-led effort to chart a 20-year course for the new Colorado town
