City of Joplin encourages people to answer survey about Covid-19
Survey will try to match resources with needs
JOPLIN, Mo. – The Joplin Health Department announced that there has been another confirmed case of Covid-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases within city limits to 15. The most recent case doesn’t appear to be travel related.joplinmissouricorona
At a briefing today, the city’s health director says 46 people are under quarantine right now. The health director also says asymptomatic cases are increasing, so it’s even more important to wear a mask while out in public.
Additionally, Joplin officials are asking residents to fill out a survey that’ll be available tomorrow online, so that resources can be matched with needs.
“If you’re a small business that has had trouble reopening, a nonprofit having trouble meeting the demands of your clients, or even a resident having trouble paying for your rent or lease or mortgage, we want to know that,” says Troy Bolander with Joplin’s Planning, Development, and Neighborhood Services. “So we encourage everyone to participate in the survey and it’ll help us better understand the impact Covid-19 has had on our community.”
The deadline to complete this survey is next Friday. You can visit the City of Joplin website for more information.
