Cindy (Golay) Seward
August 14, 1955 - April 11, 2022
On Monday, April 11, 2022, Cynthia Ann (Golay) Seward of Pasadena, Texas passed away into God’s graces, she was 66 years old.
She was a loving and caring sister, mother and grandmother. Not a day went by where she didn’t talk about how much her children and family meant to her – her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.
Cindy was born August 14, 1955 in Fredonia, Kansas to Boyd and Margaret Golay. She graduated Fredonia Senior High in 1973, and immediately enlisted into the US Navy. She returned home, married and began a family with two sons, Neal and Ethan. She eventually moved to Texas, where she continued to live until her passing.
Cindy was a strong, passionate woman who could accomplish anything she set her mind to. Even after overcoming some life challenges in her later years, she continued her retirement job as a school bus driver while remaining a devoted pet parent to her longtime friend Junie, until her passing.
She is survived by many loving individuals, including her son Neal, his wife Samantha and two children Charlie and Corey StCricq, her son Ethan, his wife Jennifer and two children Zachary and Elijah St. Cricq, her sister’s Rita Vail and family, Cathy Goodner and family, her brother’s Jerry Golay and family, John Golay and family, and an abundance of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Boyd and Margaret Golay, her brother’s Jimmy Golay and Richard Golay.
A memorial service will be held for Cindy at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, Kansas.
