Chilly week before we cool back down by the weekend

Watching another system on the way

Our latest look at the weekly planner has us looking pretty good from Tuesday through Thursday. With the jet stream back to the north and partly to mostly sunny skies in place, we’ll have highs topping out in the middle 50s each afternoon. While highs stay above normal in the lower 50s for Friday, that’s when the next system in Doug’s pattern will work in. That will bring mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers for the afternoon. As temperatures turn colder, the departing system could end as some rain and snow showers for Saturday. Nonetheless, everyone will trend cooler for Saturday with highs back around 40°. We’ll plan on dry weather and mostly cloudy skies for both Sunday and Monday. That will keep highs in the middle to upper 40s as we head into next week.
