Children’s book recommendations from the Joplin Public Library

Jesse Stops by the Joplin Public Library to get a few recommendations of books for kids.

First up is “Meg, Joe, Beth, and Amy: The Story of Little Women and Why it Still Matters,” by Anne Boyd Rioux. It’s a graphic novel that is a modern retelling of “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott.

Up next is “The Pigeon Has to go to School,” by Mo Willems. This is the newest addition to the Pigeon Series by Willems, coming out just in time to get kids ready for school.

Finally, “Fast Enough: Bessie Stringfield’s First Ride,” by Joel Christian Gill.

All of these books can be checked out at the Joplin Public Library, located at 1901 E 20th St, Joplin, Mo.
