Chiefs QB Mahomes named AFC Offensive Player of the Month
Mahomes has thrown for 1,510 yards in 4 games
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.
Mahomes has led the Chiefs to a 4-0 start this season. He has thrown for 1,510 yards and 10 touchdowns in those four games. He leads the league in both categories.
The third-year QB is currently on pace to throw for more than 6,000 yards this season. No quarterback in NFL history has topped 6,000 yards in a single season.
Mahomes and the Chiefs will be back in action on Sunday night, hosting the Indianapolis Colts.
