Chiefs fans react to Superbowl game at Social BTB watch party
Fans were on the edge of their seat
“It’s huge, I mean, 50 years of frustration and I mean what happened last year with the loss in that game…this is so wonderful” said Chief’s fan, Randy Bechtel.
Randy Bechtel saw the Chiefs take on the Super Bowl back when he was 16 years old.
Now, surrounded with family and friends, this is a monumental moment for him as he watches the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54.
“I’m excited, I’m proud of the Chiefs, it’s been a long time coming.”
Along with Randy, fellow Chiefs fans came to cheer on the Kansas City team at Social BTB in Joplin for their Super Bowl watch party.
As the game progressed, you can bet there was frustration, excitement and the hope for a win.
“It’s everything right now, we got to win this game” said Chief’s fan, Caleb Wilson.
And although everyone was optimistic about taking home the trophy, they were also prepared for the worst.
“I’d probably cry, I’d probably cry” said Wilson.
“Even if we don’t win, I’m very proud of them to be in the Super Bowl” added Bechtel.
Win or lose, these die-hard fans now have a memory that’ll last a lifetime, even the smallest of them.
“Go chiefs” yelled little Sienna, cheering alongside Randy and their family.
