Chiefs fan continues with another version of ‘Kansas City’
NASHVILLE, Ten. — Before the Chiefs game against the Colts, Blane Howard, a country music artist and songwriter, wrote his own version of “Kansas City” in honor of his first trip to Arrowhead Stadium.
Now, he’s out with another version ahead of the AFC Championship game between the Chiefs and Patriots.
“Alright y’all! I’ve had dozens of people asking me if I was going to do another version for this weeks game, so here it is! And if anyone has tickets they aren’t using, I will gladly layer up again and take them off your hands!” tweeted Howard.
You can watch the game on KOAM on Sunday, January 20th, 2019 at 5:40 p.m. (CST).
Howard was born in Fort Scott, Kansas and then moved to Arkansas where he grew up. There wasn’t a professional football team to follow in Arkansas, however, his grandfather was a huge Chiefs fan as was the rest of his Kansas family – which created ‘Blane Howard, Chiefs fan’. (#family)
He still has family living in Fort Scott, Pittsburg and Kansas City. Howard, however, has moved to Nashville where he’s working on his music career. Currently, his biggest hit is “Promise to Love Her” which has been streamed about 15 million times. It’s a song he wrote for his wife as a wedding gift.
