Chiefs earn #2 seed in AFC playoffs
The Chiefs will have a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs have earned the #2 seed in the AFC playoffs.
Kansas City beat the Los Angeles Chargers 31-21 on Sunday afternoon in the final week of the regular season. That win, combined with New England’s 27-24 loss to the Dolphins gives the Chiefs a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs, and gives them a home game in the divisional round of the post-season.
The AFC playoff picture is currently as follows:
#1 seed – Baltimore Ravens (bye)
#2 seed – Kansas City Chiefs (bye)
#3 seed – New England Patriots (host #6 Titans, #6 Steelers or #6 Raiders)
#4 seed – Houston Texans (host Bills)
#5 seed – Buffalo Bills (@ Texans)
#6 seed – Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers or Oakland Raiders (@ Patriots)
