Cherryvale students volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House in Joplin
JOPLIN, Mo. – High School and Middle School students from Cherryvale, Kansas spent their day volunteering at the local Ronald McDonald House today, April 13th.
During their stay, students worked on multiple projects, such as cleaning and sanitizing the non-profit.
Cherryvale High School Students also donated aluminum tabs and money they raised to the organization.
“The CMHS student councils are excited to be able to give back to those that have helped our school’s families,” said Sara Dreisbach, Cherryvale High School student council advisor. “Coming out of the COVID years, we were looking for ways to expand our reach when it came to community service activities. We look forward to hopefully continuing these efforts in the future.”
Students said they chose to work with the Ronald McDonald House when they learned that the charity has helped several families in need from Cherryvale.
